Last night I attended the Flowers After Hours fashion show held at The Minneapolis Institute of Arts. This was part of MIA's annual Spring event: Art in Bloom. Some of the runway fashions included six outfits embellished with or concocted completely out of live fresh flowers and plants. As well as a segment featuring the Christopher Straub/Patrick Kemal Pryor sculpted dresses that are currently on display at the Anita Sue Kolman Gallery in NE Minneapolis. (I modeled for Christopher & Patrick at their live gallery showing back in September). Cool note: the red dress I wore was not featured at Flowers After Hours, as it has been sold!

The Flowers After Hours event was as gorgeous as it was innovative, and the designs smelt lovely too!
It amazes me how many artists reside in the city of Minneapolis. No matter how many people I've met and worked with there is always new talent to meet, connect with and be inspired by.
I love connecting with art but there is something invigorating about having a deep connection with the actual artist that is magical. I met a lot of artful types last night, both new acquaintances and old friends, reminding me of one of the many reasons why I love this city. The art scene is always flourishing!
